"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

i'm experimenting with the digital medium, and what it means to work in the digital medium. i don't wish to emulate traditional means of creating art. a pixel should resemble a pixel, not creamy oils on canvas or airbrushed ink. i belive that medium is as important to a piece as is the subject and composition. the medium should always show through in a work, the pixel should be evedent in a digital piece. if the digital medium is to ever come into it's own, it needs to define it'self, seperate it's means and devices from that of other mediums.
Have you ever had a dream, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?
What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire deviant life, that there's something wrong with the story. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.
